After 20 years as an illusionist and quick change artist, Rochelle Allison transitioned to film acting in 2020 when live entertainment shut down. What started as a personal challenge to try something different and keep herself “out there”, became a new passion, and she dove into classwork and soon began performing in student films and indies. Having placed in the top 20 of the Artist 2 Artist showcase at the end of 2023, she booked a role on So Help Me Todd . 

Playing Blake’s mother Mona, on Virgin River Season 7 brought an exciting start to 2025.

Indies and short films have proven a great training ground allowing Rochelle to explore a variety of interesting characters and stories from the vengeful ghost in Amorosa, fiery rebellious grandma in Zone 15, meticulous gardener with a dark side in Youth Is Wasted On The Young, sickly mom addicted to painkillers in Cardinal Evil, caring grandmother in Clementines, grief stricken friend in Waiting for Summer, to starship captain in Forgotten.

Favourite downtime activities include salsa dancing, kayaking, snorkelling, riding horses, swimming, pickle ball, puttering in the garden, and most of all, playing with her dog, Flo.
